Bronze did not alter the Original platform. Cabin remained the 55 × 40 × 23 cm, 35-litre carry-on; Check-In L offered about 86 litres; Trunk Plus about 105 litres in a tall, deep body. HiConsumption recorded launch weights of roughly 4.3 kg, 6.2 kg and 6.4 kg. The hardware list remained Flex Dividers, TSA-approved latches, Multiwheel running gear and a stage-free telescopic handle.

RIMOWA’s 26 June 2025 announcement set European RRPs at €1,180, €1,480 and €1,920. Acquire separately recorded a US range of $1,500–$2,450. Both sets are source-date context, not conversion equivalents or current price promises. The collection was seasonal, even though lingering regional stock could remain after the campaign window.

The auction-film language borrowed the longevity of bronze sculpture, but no buyer received a bronze suitcase. Anodisation modifies and colours the aluminium surface while retaining a metallic appearance. It does not make the shell immune to dents, scratches or bright marks where abrasion cuts through the coloured layer. Bronze’s warmer tone may disguise some wear, but there is no evidence that it is structurally tougher than Silver.

Colour matching extended across handles, locks, wheel housings and telescopic components. The unified appearance is handsome when new; it also means a later replacement part may not match if seasonal Bronze inventory is exhausted. Functional repairs and the written lifetime guarantee are valuable, but neither promises indefinite supply of colour-identical cosmetic pieces. Buyers should separate repairability from perfect restoration.

Check-In L is the conventional week-plus shape, while Trunk Plus makes bulky packing easier through a deep, upright cavity. Both are meant to enter baggage systems where a seasonal finish will accumulate unpredictable contact. That is acceptable if marks are part of the appeal. It is irrational if the auction-catalogue appearance is what justified the premium or urgency.

Our verdict: Bronze Cabin was the best expression of the release. Its 35-litre capacity is modest and its 4.3 kg empty weight can challenge strict airline limits, but keeping it with you offers more control over the finish. Choose a large Bronze case only if you already prefer that geometry and welcome wear. Never pay a resale premium on the assumption that ‘seasonal’ means materially superior or permanently scarce.
